Shuttle Atex

The SHUTTLE ATEX float switch is the ideal solution for liquid level control in potentially explosive environments. SHUTTLE ATEX is designed for use in tanks, sewage treatment plants, sewage canals, waste water, septic tank drains and industrial water. 

Equipped with a high-performance microswitch with self-cleaning contacts, the SHUTTLE ATEX offers a rated current of 10(8) A / 250 V. The SHUTTLE ATEX is made of a one-piece moulded polyethylene housing, with a 21(8) A 250V 50-60Hz switch centrally located in its own airlock. This part, made of a one-piece polypropylene body, is sealed by overmoulding with injection of the same type of material. . The cavity is filled with two-component, closed-cell foam material, providing high thermal insulation and an effective barrier against infiltration. 

It belongs to the ‘II 3G’ equipment category and uses the ‘Ex nC’ type of protection, which makes it suitable only for use in ‘Zone 2’. The SHUTTLE ATEX offers an ‘IP68’ level of protection and can operate in the presence of Subgroup ‘IIB’ gases with temperature class ‘T6’ (0÷50°C). This device is suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres with mixtures of air and flammable substances in the form of gases, vapours and mists.
